This is another story about the house I lived in during the mid 1970's with my son, a couple and their 3 young children. In the evenings we would all get together and watch television. Now, this house was an old house. The heating system was basically gas, but not central. There were vent grates in all the upstairs rooms and you'd have to leave them open so that the heat could rise upstairs.
So, we were watching television, the children munching on snacks laying on the floor in front of the television set, and the adults on the couches behind the children. As we were in the middle of a program, the sound of laughter came down to us from the open vent in the ceiling. We all looked up (even the children). It sounded like a little girl. Then it started again, and this time my girlfriend told her son, "Turn down the TV!". He did. The laughter continued with short stops between giggles. It wasn't loud, it was like a child who puts their hand over their mouth to try and stop the sound when they laugh. The children were looking up terrified, but appeared unable to move. The grate was directly above them. The giggles continued for about a minute, then stopped. This phenomena happened frequently. There was never anybody else in the house except for those that were in the livingroom. Add as favorites (0) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 1411 | E-mail
